Next plane home
Yesterday was my last day of working for the year 2008 anddddd...today I am flying off to KK City! Will be in KK for about 10 days. I wish I could stay longer BUT the new semester is starting in 3 weeks time so I had to be back on the second day of new year to get my timetable. *sigh* Anyway, hope I'm gonna have heaps of fun in KK, catching up with family, friends and all that stuffs. Plus can't wait to meet the new addition to the family too. So yeah, pray that I'll have a safe journey home aye?
I wanted to blog about this the day after my birthday but never got the time to do so...well, to sum up my birthday this year was actually a very quiet one. I mean I don't know...I guess as I get older I don't really feel the need to be all giddy about my birthday anymore. I ended up spending the remaining hours of my birthday in my room sleeping...haha ya I know what a way end it right? I probably got tired after work. But then, I am still very much overwhelmed by the wishes I got, in Facebook especially...those people that you haven't heard any news from just suddenly pops into your wall and wrote you a message. I do appreciate the effort heheh. Thanks again :)
Eventhough this year's birthday was a quiet one, I've received the best gifts everrrrr! Cos it all comes in the form of books! It's probably the best gifts I've received after so many years :)
3 Cecilia Ahern novels from my brother. Ya, I can't believe he actually bought me a gift hahah.
Spiral notebook from LW & Deb...my first MUJI product everrrr.
The best of the best...my first Moleskine from Candice! *hearts* I didn't expect that I would receive a Moleskine you know :)
Hmmm...now I'm not even sure when will I actually use the MUJI notebook or the Moleskine...sayang bah plus I've got a few other never been used notebooks (which I bought from BKK) that's been lying around in my room. But I'll find the right time to use it soon.
Oh yes, got a cake from CY too.
I don't know if the internet connection back home is working or not, so I am not sure if I'll get the chance to blog...unless you nice people in KK can bring me to Starbucks or Coffee Bean for the free wi-fi lah. Okay, I have to wake up at 6 friggin' am later...so I should just go to bed now. Till the next post...have a grrrreaaaat week everybody!
Did this during the weekend and I'll definitely be wearing it on Christmas day :)
Lastly, a lol photo for you.
Sphinx with a big red bow...totally feelin' the Xmas mood y'all.

Need more time

I did this last week out of boredom at home. The eyes looks kinda out of proportion though. I tired to refine it but it was too late sudah. I call this illo Purple Blossom. Anyway, I still have like tons of things to do and I've only got 2 days left! So blogging will have to wait...maybe I'll post something again tonight or tomorrow, but we'll see if I can find the time to do so.
Went to the Arts For Grabs Xmas Special at Annexe Gallery yesterday. It was fun but I didn't managed to stay there for long..there was a fashion show at 7pm called Tomboys & Angels but didn't get the chance to see it too. The best part of this event when I was there was joining the free Akido workshop! Hmm...let's hope I can remember some of the self defense moves so that I am able to use it just in case something happen :)
Bought a DVD called Flower in My Pocket (directed by Liew Seng Tat) cos I've heard many good reviews about it but never got the chance to watch it. There was a free screening of the movie during Urbanscapes but I arrived late so didn't managed to watch it. I wanted to buy the book by Amir Muhammad called New Malaysian Essays cos they were seeling it for only RM20 but all sold out sudah. *sigh*
Okay, I've got laundry to do and I need to clean my room, bathroom and mop the entire place! Later!

The list
OFFICIALLY done with this semester! Well, not exactly lah cos there are some more things to sort out before I can let out a huge sight of relieve. But I've finished doing all the gradings already. Had to stay and worked late last night and only reached home around 10pm. I did brought some works back but once I've reached home, my body couldn't function well anymore sooo...I decided to ditch my work and watch Down With Love for the second time on TV heheh. Oh...Estranged made it to the finals for Juara Lagu bah!
I'm still in the office now feeling super hungryyyy...mau makan. Anyway, blog more later. For now, I shall present you my Christmas list for this year...
Actually, I will be getting the pen tablet myself since I am saving up for it not forgetting the New Moon novel and the acrylics...well, basically I will work my way to get all the things on the list lah.
Have a grrreat weekend! I miss watching football :(

Tilt and shift
According to Wiki:
Tilt-shift photography refers to the use of camera movements on small- and medium format cameras. In many cases, it refers to tilting the lens relative to the image plane and using a large aperture to achieve a very shallow depth of field. The technique relies on the Scheimpflug principle and usually requires the use of special lenses.
“Tilt-shift” actually encompasses two different types of movements: rotation of the lens, called tilt, and movement of the lens parallel to the image plane, called shift. Tilt is used to control the orientation of the plane of focus (PoF), and hence the part of an image that appears sharp. Shift is used to control perspective, usually involving the convergence of parallel lines. (More here)

Does the cars look like miniature models??? Oklah, I'm still pretty much a n00b/amateur on this. I seem to have overdone the blurness of this photo...anyway, I was bored so I went on and tried the tutorial when I arrived to the office yesterday. I guess I was dreading to go back to work after the long weekends. Two more classes to go and then they'll be tons of grading to do!

Never think
[EDIT] Actually, in the Twilight soundtrack, there's only one song sang by Rob Pattinson which is of course, called 'Never Think'. But he did sang another song called 'Let Me Sign' in the movie. The song was played during the time when Edward was sucking out the venom from Bella's arm, after she was bitten by James in the ballet studio. The song didn't made it into the soundtrack :) But you can go and listen to it via youtube.
Rob Pattinson contributed two songs one song on the Twilight soundtrack. One of it is this. It's called 'Never Think'. This song was played during the time when Edward and Bella had dinner in the tiny restaurant after Edward saved Bella from being attacked by some men in Port Angeles. The dinner scene was actually my favourite scene too ;) Anyway, to me his voice sounded like a mixture of John Meyer+Brian Vander Ark (lead singer of The Verve Pipe). I like the song though it's quite hard to understand what is he singing but nevertheless I think the song is starting to get in to me already ♥.
I almost forgotten that today is a public holiday. Thank goodness for the long weekends! Well, not that I did much anyway. Stayed at home most of the time because during the weekends, the weather was quite mundane, it just makes you wanna stay in bed and sleep all day. Even today as I woke up, I was greeted by the sound of rain falling down outside and after washing my face and brushing my teeth, I went back to bed and continued reading my book. Such a NICE feeling. I like bah. But I had to get up anyway since I need to do some stuffs (i.e laundry *sigh*).
This week would be the last week of the semester before the students start their holidays. Well, some of the students who were in the tri-semester has started their holidays about 2 weeks ago. I am also looking forward for the Christmas break too! In fact it's all I can think about now :) As of today, I've got 14 more days to go before balik KK! But for now, I need to focus on finishing all my tasks so that when I finally can go home, I'll be at ease. You know, I was thinking of giving a sort of farewell speech...actually it's more like the end-of-the-semester speech for this Friday's class since I won't be teaching/tutoring 'em next semester but I'm still figuring out what to say lah. I just hope I don't get all emo and start crying or whatever. I am prone to do that you know heh.
Not sure what I'll do for the rest of today. Wanted to go to Pyramid to see if I can do some Christmas shopping but we'll see if the weather allows me to do so. In the meantime, I'll just probably go and watch some movies or just wait for the TV shows to finish downloading. On a side note, I've been following Grey's Anatomy Season 5 lately andddd... to my surprise Lexie and Mark Sloan??? Omg, it just looked so wrong. I mean I don't mind if Mark Sloan is with Dr. Torres ( cos I could see there's some sparks there) but Lexie the Little Grey with Mark Sloan? Haiyaaaaa....and is Danny suddenly back from being dead? Weird lah.

Supermassive black hole
This month marks the final month of the year. Oh man, how time flies kan? A brand new year is coming soon and I wonder what will 2009 brings...hmmm. Anyway, since it is the last month and it seems that everyone is prepared to enjoy the holiday season, I want December to be a good month too. I hope and pray that everything will go well before I head back to good 'ol Penampang to celebrate Christmas ANDDDD gosh, I really hope my students will put extra effort on their second/final project for Design 1 class. They've got about one more week to go...
Well, clearly I was disappointed on the outcome of their first project last week. I don't know...is it me or are they seriously slacking off already? I've told them about the first project like a month before and even told them to do some early preparation (i.e doing research, etc) but yet...*sigh*
I'm blaming myself now because I *think* I did not play my role well to them. Geez...I've got the feeling I am going to be depressed again. Wtf. Okay, need some happy thoughts! *Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale*
TWILIGHT.
I've managed to catch the movie last Saturday and...I think the movie was good. I like it but not love it entirely, still I don't mind watching it for the second time :) Obviously, the cinema was filled with mostly teenagers, girls especially who couldn't stop squealing with delight everytime Edward Cullen came into the scene. I was in luck at that time cos none of the "squealing teens" sat beside me heheh. I managed to sit far away from 'em. BUT, I have a confession to make. If I was still a teen, I would've joined the "squealing teens" too cos I reckon Edward Cullen is very good looking! Yes, I know there are certain people who would think otherwise but...man, I am just to lazy to argue over this.
I also think that Robert Pattinson did a good job in portraying Edward Cullen in the movie. His ever changing facial expression, the crooked smile, the glare...it was just like how Stephanie Meyer described him in the book. Oh, I love the Cullens' house too! When I was reading the book, I'd imagined their house would have this old and classic kind look but it turns out to be very modern and Edward's room looked nice bah. I also love the scene where the Cullens were playing baseball during a thunderstorm. It's probably cos Muse's song, Supermassive Black Hole was used during that scene and it just made everything looked wow. There are some scenes where I find it kinda...cheesy? The part where Edward was showing Bella how he would look like when facing the bright sun...yeah, I didn't really like that part. It was kinda weird.
